Foundry Technology - Duplex Systems

Duplex Ladles are used to transfer base metal from melting furnace to holding furnaces. The faster the melt can be poured out of the melting furnace the faster the furnaces can be put back on line. It is very important to maintain high furnace utilization as your operating cost decrease and your total melt available is increased. For these situations we supply large energy efficient ladles. The transfer system can be manually operated or totally automated depending on the customer's requirements.

With our tilt station our duplex system does not have a hoist. The ladle and tilt station is designed in such a way as to eliminate this. This gives us a very simple and reliable transfer process with very few moving parts.

Duplex ladles and tilt stations make the process of transferring molten metal from melting furnaces to holding furnaces easy and efficient.

Duplex ladles and tilt stations operate well with a monorail or a crane transport system.

Hydraulic tilt stations accurately and quickly transfers the metal in the duplex ladle to the holding furnace. Through CIME, optical pouring controls can be added to increase the reliability and automation of the duplex process.

All Duplex ladles fabricated by Industrial Revolution can be moved by fork truck also.
